Statement on False Allegations

We are aware of a series of videos published by Sean Hickey, who runs a YouTube Channel called Geeksvana which contain false and misleading claims about the Micro Drone 4.0 project and our company, Extreme Toys Ltd. These videos attempt to discredit the Micro Drone 4.0 campaign and our founder through rumours, baseless accusations and personal attacks. These claims are completely untrue and we take this development very seriously. The truth is simple:The delay to the Micro Drone 4.0 project was caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which had a catastrophic impact on global supply chains, particularly in electronics manufacturing. Like thousands of legitimate hardware companies worldwide, we faced severe factory shutdowns, parts shortages, and shipping disruptions far beyond our control. We fully...

Micro Drone 4.0 - the work continues

As many of you know, Micro Drone 4.0 (our highly anticipated new Micro Drone model that was set to launch in 2020) was delayed by the onset of the pandemic, causing chaos with supply chains and making travel to our Shenzen factory impossible.  We wanted to let you know that the project continues to progress and during this time, we have been diligently working behind the scenes to ensure that lives up to the high standards we set. One of the decisions has been to upgrade the technology behind the drone. In our commitment to creating a solution that is relevant to today’s market, it is important the drone incorporates cutting-edge features that sets it apart from what is currently...

Impact of COVID-19 on Micro Drone 4.0 - A Message from our team

It’s hard to overstate how much the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everything. For us, the past few months have been some of the most challenging we’ve ever faced. Since 2011, we’ve worked tirelessly to make advanced drone technology small, accessible, and fun. We’ve launched three successful Micro Drone models, and in 2016 were honoured with the Queen’s Award for Innovation — recognition of what a small, dedicated team can achieve through creativity and engineering. That same year, we launched Micro Drone 3.0 on Indiegogo. Over 18,000 backers supported the campaign, raising $3.5 million - we shipped it, people loved it and the response was incredible - Drone Magazine called it the Best Drone for Beginners, and it built a passionate global...

World's Smallest Gimbal Drone

Micro Drone 3.0+ is taking itself to a new level. It is the world's first Micro gimbal drone and is truly one of a kind. Our new HD Wi-Fi camera module and gimbal have been designed from the ground up to give you smooth, stable footage in a lightweight package. The Camera’s Wi-Fi module acts as a flying router, creating its own network in the sky! The new 120-degree wide angle lens ensures an even better view of the world as you fly and film. The brand new single-axis mechanical gimbal is the smallest of its kind in the world today, and can be used for two unique purposes – stabilising the video footage as the drone moves and actively aiming...

Drone Racing goes mainstream.

The last year has seen drone racing go mainstream and with the release of our carbon kit just around the corner, we are taking a look into the sports rise in popularity. So when did it begin and why is it taking off so spectacularly? (no pun intended). It would be hard to specify one individual who is responsible for the creation of Drone Racing but you could be forgiven in saying that Scot Refsland can be seen as a ‘father’ figure of the sport. In 2014, he created a Berkley based group of drone hobbyists - that in one year grew from 10 to a staggering 700 people. While a number of drone hobbyist groups existed before this, Refsland's concentration...
