Extreme Fliers is back at CES, with a range of exciting new developments. Micro Drone 3.0 is at the forefront of drone technology and this year we are happy to be showcasing four new features.

 

1. Wide Angle Camera Lens

The new module incorporates a wide-angle lens and auto light balancing; allowing pilots to capture the best footage and adjusts to their environment.  This snaps on much like the original camera module.

 

2. Micro Gimbal

After two years miniaturising the technology, Extreme Fliers will be showcasing the Micro Gimbal at CES. It is the world’s smallest gimbal, combining an integrated camera, gimbal, compression engine and WiFi Module, (that synchronises sensor data with video footage frame by frame) to create smooth aerial shots.

 

3. WiFi HD Downlink

Extreme Fliers new WiFi HD Downlink feature allows pilots to wirelessly transfer raw HD footage to their smartphones.  This app update does away with the need for any wired connections, as SD card footage can now be downloaded directly to your phone over the air.

 

4. Carbon Fibre Racing Kit

Building on Micro Drone’s modular design, Extreme Fliers have developed a new Carbon Racing kit to allow all Micro Drone 3.0 users to place their existing Flight Board and motors into a limited edition carbon fibre frame. Alongside a new Analogue camera, users will now be able to take part in professional FPV Racing.

Vernon Kerswell, founder of Extreme Fliers started designing, developing and producing Micro Drone since the first edition, which launched in 2011. The team consists of highly skilled engineers and holds many years of experience in the consumer electronics industry. Extreme Fliers built up the entire manufacturing and development process in-house, being actively involved in each stage. Since the original model, Micro Drone has been a continuously refined adding new feature, with an emphasis on pushing the boundaries of drone technology.
